Older buildings come in layers. Cabling from three tenants ago, a camera system nobody has the password to, door hardware that predates the current occupant. A retrofit is not a demolition. It is deciding what stays, what gets replaced, and what can be reused without inheriting somebody else's shortcuts.

We modernize aging security, access, and cabling infrastructure in occupied commercial buildings. We work with what the building will allow, keep disruption contained to what the scope actually requires, and document what we leave behind so the next upgrade is not another archaeology project.

How The Work Runs

  1. Assess what exists

    Existing systems and cabling get traced and evaluated. You find out what is serviceable and what is past saving before committing to scope.

  2. Plan the phases

    Work gets staged so the systems you depend on keep running while their replacements go in around them.

  3. Replace and reuse

    Sound pathways and infrastructure get reused where reuse is genuinely appropriate. What is not sound gets replaced rather than patched.

  4. Document the result

    The finished system gets labeled and recorded, which is usually the exact piece the previous installation was missing.

Common Questions

Can we retrofit in stages instead of all at once?

Yes, and often that is the right call. Phasing lets you spread the work across budget cycles while keeping the building covered the whole way through.

Will you have to tear open walls and ceilings?

Only where there is no alternative. Existing pathways get used wherever they are usable, and any access we do have to open stays contained and gets repaired.

How do we find out what our current system actually is?

That is the first part of the job. We trace and document what is in place, then give you a straight assessment of what is worth keeping.
